Peugeot, Citroen and Vauxhall wetbelts

If your Peugeot, Citroen or Vauxhall has the 1lt or 1.2lt Puretech engines unfortunately it will have the dreaded wetbelt design flaw. These belts degrade over time causing oil pressure issues and possible engine failure due to debris of the belt being sucked up onto the oil strainer.

The manufacturers have now changed the replacement of these belts to every 6 years regardless of mileage due to the various issues. Unfortunately we find issues as low as 25,000 miles.
